One of the longest wars that the Philippines is still facing up to these days is the battle against poverty and underdevelopment.
To win the battle, there is a need to harness national and local resources which will pave way for the attainment of food security and acceleration of agricultural growth and rural development in the entire country.
One of the government’s best strategies to win the battle is the collaboration, complementation, and harmonization of resources of the Department of Agriculture, Department of Agrarian Reform, Department of Environment and Natural Resources and Department of Interior and Local Government (DA-DAR-DENR-DILG) which paved way for the National Convergence Initiatives for Sustainable Rural Development (NCI-SRD).
